Fundraising Events!

Sponsored Triathalon - The unit took on the challenge of covering the distance to Sweden.  The plan was to use a rowing machine , treadmill and exercise bike and as a team cover the 735 miles (as the crow flies)  from the Isle of Wight to Sweden.  We did the challenge at the Garlic Festival on 2 rowing machines and an exercise bike (as the treadmill was faulty). Having a crowd to entertain at the same time helped keep the momentum going and the distance was achieved!  Well done all,, especially for raising £450!

Badges and Neckerchiefs are available to buy to support the unit.  Badges £2 and Neckers £5 - proving very popular and very unique!

BBQ at Haseley Manor on 1st September raised over £300 and included musicall entertainment and a tour of the manor .

Bag Packing has been a really good way to build funds and over the year we have done 5 sessions - 2 at Marks and Spencers after Christmas 2009 and 2010 1 at Morrisons Lake, 2 at Morrisons Newport.  The Isle of Wight shoppers are excellent supporters of scouting helping us raise nearly £4000!
