Training Session Diary

These pages contain a list of the Training Sessions currently organised by the Training Team.  If there is a particular Module that you would like to complete, but it does not appear in the list of organised sessions below, please contact the County Training Manager to discuss the possibility of the module being run for you.

Please keep revisiting these pages, as any additional training sessions organised will be advertised here first.  These pages will also be updated with the venues for the training sessions as they are confirmed.

In order for your application to be processed, and to enable the Training Team to prepare and tailor the session accordingly, please try and submit your application at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the training session that you are booking onto.

Safeguarding Awareness Sessions

These sessions are available to all Adults involved in Scouting, recent changes to the appointments procedure means that this training should be completed every 5 years, and evidence of completing this training is necessary for renewal of appointment.  The sessions outline the different types of Child Abuse & the responsibilities and action to take for adults in Scouts if you suspect or receive an abuse allegation, as well as covering the Associations Anti-bullying policies and procedures.

These sessions are listed as module 94 in the on-line Training Diary.

Wood Badge Weekends

Due to the continued success of these weekends in 2011, the Training Team are offering them again in 2012.  These weekends are a blend of most of the training modules necessary for Section & Assistant Section Leader roles, as well as Manager & Supporter roles.  More information can be found on the Training News & Events page

1st Response courses can be completed in one of two ways:

A one-day course on a Saturday or Sunday from 0930 - 1630hrs.
