County Commissioner

Local Training Manager - Adult Training Team

We are expanding the Adult Training Team and seeking another individual to join the Team to undertake the role of Local Training Manager.
As a Local Training Manager (LTM) you will assist the County Training Manager in managing the Adult Training Scheme. You will be responsible for line managing a team of Training Advisers, managing the validation experince of Adult Learners had have involvement with planning and ensuring the delivery of training, and ensuring adults have access to suitable learning opportunities using a variety of methods.
You will need to be supportive of other adults, patient, a good communicator, organised and a team player.
Must be flexible and prepared to give your time on a variety of evenings and some weekends, with additional hours working from home.
Must have access to the internet and an email account.
This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses are paid. You will be required to undertake an enhanced CRB check.

Assistant Scout Leaders - 7th Newport Scout Group

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Leaders at Scouts at 7th Newport, we provide activities for 10-14 year olds.  We are an active group enjoying spending a lot of time outdoors, we cycle, hike, camp and go on expeditions.

You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work with the age range, no previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.  You do not need to commit to coming every week, whatever time you can offer would be appreciated.

This is a volunteer role working with young people, therefore you will need to complete an enhanced CRB check.

Assistant Explorer Scout Leaders - Da Xploras Explorer Scout Unit - Newport

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Leaders at Explorers at 7th Newport, we provide activities for 14-18 year olds.  We are an active group enjoying activities from cycling to camping to IT, combining these activities in running the Duke of Edinburghs award.

You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work with the age range, no previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.  You do not need to commit to coming every week, whatever time you can offer would be appreciated.

This is a volunteer role working with young people, therefore you will need to complete an enhanced CRB check.

Assistant Explorer Scout Leaders - Xtreme Explorer Scout Unit - Newport

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Leaders at Xtreme Explorer Scout Unit.

Xtreme ESU are based in Newport, meeting at 1st Newport Scout HQ on a Wednesday evening. We provide an active and wide ranging Scout programme for 14-18 years olds, with the opportunity to register with and complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award's.

You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work with the age range, no previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.  You do not need to commit to coming every week, whatever time you can offer would be appreciated.

County Training Administrator

We are seeking one individual to join the County Training Team to undertake the role of County Training Administrator.

As County Training Administrator (CTA) you will assist the County Training Manager with all aspects of administration relating to the Adult Training Scheme. Key responsibilities will include using the on-line database to add, update and maintain adult learner information, take and organise bookings for training events, send out invoices and receive payments relating to training activities and minute taking at Team meetings.

You will need to have good communication, administration and organisational skills, as well as being computer literate with internet access and an email account.
Must be flexible and prepared to give your time for a variety of evening and weekend meetings, as well as adhoc time spent taking and processing bookings and maintaining records.This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses are paid. You will be required to undertake an enhanced CRB check.

Training Advisers - Adult Training Team

Help and support adults through the Adult Training Scheme by becoming a Training Adviser.

You will be responsible for supporting and assessing up to four adults through their training up to the award of the Wood Badge.
You will need to be supportive of other adults, patient, and a good communicator. No previous experience is required as full training and ongoing support will be given. 
Must have access to the internet and email account.
This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses are paid. You will be required to undertake an enhanced CRB check.

Adult Trainers - Adult Training Team

We are seeking individuals to join the County Adult Training Team as Adult Trainers.

This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the training and development of new leaders and adults in Scouting by delivering modules from the Adult Training Scheme, using a variety of different methods.  
As an adult trainer you will be available to deliver a minimum of 3 modules per year, and facilitate small group work from time to time.
No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. 
Must have access to the internet and email account.
