All Young Leaders helping out in groups in the East Wight are members of the East Wight Young Leaders Unit.  The Leader for the East Wight  is Claire Steen. You can belong to an Explorer Unit as well if you wish.  The Explorer Unit in the East Wight is called Caulkheads and meets at 1st Shanklin Headquarters.  If you only wish to be a Young Leader you will be invested into the East Wight Young Leaders Unit as an Explorer Scout.

The East and the West Wight Young Leaders Unit meet together for training, social or skills events.
