Introduction

If you would like to stay on the Isle of Wight, why not use the facilities offered to you by 1st Northwood Scout Group. Our scout hall is situated in approximately one acre of land surrounded on three sides by houses/bungalows,  although trees hide them. The village of Northwood is located approximately 2 miles to the south of Cowes (the sailing capital of the UK), on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Naturally, we are extremely proud of our location and facilities  and we hope you enjoy your stay in our village. Information is included in this pack, which outlines the local amenities with their opening hours. Tariffs for use of Headquarters and who can use the grounds are listed at the end of this brochure, along with booking forms. Unfortunately on-line booking isn’t available.

The grid reference for the scout hut is OS SZ 481 940.   Postcode PO31 8QA

Nearby is a mini supermarket and post office, garage and two public houses. We are within 2 miles of several supermarkets. The kitchen has a freezer and some groups have opted to order deliveries on-line to be delivered when they arrive. Both Tesco and Sainsburys deliver to our area.

The scout hut is near the main bus routes to which all parts of the Isle of Wight can be gained. The times of buses are displayed at the stops of which there are three.
