Awards at the 2011 County AGM

Following the business of the 2011 County AGM, the following awards were presented by the High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight, Mrs Susie Sheldon. The congratulations of everyone at the meeting were extended to all the award recipients.

 Geoff Brown received the Silver Wolf, the Scout Association's highest award, in recognition of services to Scouting of the most exceptional nature.  Geoff is currently Deputy County Commissioner and Assistant Scout Leader with 2nd Cowes (St Mary's) Sea Scouts.

 

 

Rev. Alan Swanborough received the Silver Acorn in recognition of specially distinguished service to Scouting.  Alan is currently East Wight District Chaplain and a member of East Wight District Executive.

 

John Gulliver received the Bar to the Award for Merit in recognition of further outstanding service to Scouting.  John is currently Local Training Manager.

 

Mandy Holloway received the Bar to the Award for Merit in recognition of further outstanding service to Scouting.  Mandy is currently District Commissioner for West Wight.

 

 

Mike Turner received the Bar to the Award for Merit in recognition of further outstanding service to Scouting.  Mike is currently a County Skills Instructor.

 

Julie Quinlan received the Award for Merit in recognition of outstanding service to Scouting.  Julie is currently Cub Scout Leader at 3rd Ventnor.

 

Azwar Zahoor received the Award for Merit in recognition of outstanding service to Scouting. Azwar is currently Scout Leader with 1st Wroxall.

 

Julia Mattinson received the Award for Merit in recognition of outstanding service to Scouting. Julia is currently County Secretary and secretary to the Corf sub-committee.

 

Ian Winter-Goodwin was presented with the Chief Scout's 40 years Long Service Award.  Ian is currently a member of the Scout Active Support Unit at 1st Shanklin.

 

 

David Graham Salter was presented with the Chief Scout's 40 years Long Service Award.  Graham is currently a County Administrator, responsible for the County Diary.
