Beaveree 2020

Upcoming Events

19To all Beaver Parents and Guardians,

I am sure like me your young people are missing their Face to Face Colony meetings and in particular the Camps, sleepovers, and Hikes.

Well, let them know that they can have a Beaveree Camp at home and have lots of fun as a family just like the Record-breaking Camp at Home a few weeks back.

We are holding a Pirate themed Beaveree at home from Friday 19th – Sunday 21st June. There will be challenges and events which will all go towards badges.

You can sleep as Pirates in a camp or Den, eat like Pirates, search for Treasure, have a Pirates hike, and some surprises guests along the way!!!

During the weekend there will be a couple of Zoom meets for your Beavers to interact with. For Beavers, we do require a parent to be present.

Please encourage your Beavers siblings to join in with the activities. If they are in Cubs and Scouts it may help towards badges. If they are younger they will see what fun they will have when they join Beavers.

Please join the private Facebook group which will open to Parents on Thursday 18th June after answering a simple question. Isle of Wight Beaveree at Home 2020 also has a website and the link is www.iwscouts.org.uk/beaveree2020

Looking forward to seeing your Pirates for a weekend of fun for all the family.

Yours in Scouting

Graham Walmsley.

Assistant County Commissioner (Beavers), Isle of Wight Scouts
