  Central

1st Newport

1st Newport (The Old Guard) is the oldest Scout Group on the Island, proud to have been founded on February 8th, 1908 and run continually since then.

6th Newport

7th Newport

th Newport is a friendly, welcoming Group that can offer a broad and challenging Scouting experience from Beaver Scouts joining at 6, to Explorer Scouts and Young Leaders at 18.

8th Newport

8th Newport offer a variety of activities and challenges; From den building to camp fire cooking, team games to individual reward, from crafts to first aid, we complete a range of badge work and welcome all abilities.

1st East Cowes

1st East Cowes (St. James) Lord Gort’s Own Scout Group is a registered charity and was formed in December 1927. Since that time it has helped many of the town’s young adults to achieve their full potential. 

2nd Cowes

1st Northwood

1st Northwood is one of the largest scout’s groups on the Island with nearly 100 members. We meet in our own scout hut, with a large outside area, on Wyatt’s Lane, Northwood.

1st Sandown and Lake

We are a thriving group which includes Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and new members are very welcome, space providing.

1st Bembridge St.Helens & Seaview

A new section running a fun and varied program, including crafts, games, outdoor activities, visits and talks from outside organisations.

1st Wroxall

1st Godshill & Rookley

Scouts were first seen in Godshill in 1949 when the Reverend Mason started the Troop. Meetings were in the Village Hall. The colour of the Scarf worn by the Scouts at the time was green and black.

3rd Ventnor

3rd Ventnor Scout group are based at the Turney Hut, Trinity Road in Ventnor. The group was founded in 1909 and was originally based at a different location in Ventnor and then we were lucky enough to move a fantastic site, behind Trinity Church.

1st Freshwater/Totland

The Beavers Colony is the first and youngest section and is for Young People aged between 6 and 8 years old.

1st Brighstone

1st Brighstone Scout Group was formed in 1910 and we currently have around 70 to 80 young members in the Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer sections. We draw members from the immediate villages around Brighstone and across the West Wight area.
